CBP Documentation Rescue · China Agent Ltd

CBP is asking for factory records. We get them from the factory.

One price. One team. Everything runs at once: due diligence, a document review, two visits to the factory, and an agreement that makes the factory keep its records from now on.

$4,995 fixed. Records first.

Is this you?

Your goods are held. Your money is fine. The supplier is real.

What's missing is paper: records CBP is asking for that the factory hasn't given you, or that nobody can find.

A notice can give you as little as 30 days. You don't have time for the usual order: first the due diligence, then the visit, then the contract. So we don't do it in that order. We start everything on day one, and we're at the factory within 2 business days.

What you get

1. Due Diligence on the factory. Who owns it, whether it's licensed to make and export what you buy, what the court records say, and a legal cross-check. A written report.

2. A document review. We read the notice with you, then compare what you and the factory hold against what it asks for. You get a gap list: what's missing, and who holds it.

3. Visit 1, at the factory. We sit down with the people, face to face, and collect and review the originals: purchase records for materials, production records, bills of materials, payment and shipping papers. They come back to you in one indexed pack.

4. A Contract Manufacturing Agreement. Written with local counsel. It makes keeping the records a standing duty of the factory: kept for years, shared when asked, with statements about its own suppliers. So you're ready for the next notice, instead of starting from zero.

5. Visit 2, at the signing. We sign the agreement with the factory and run a live test: we ask for a file on the spot, to see the system works.

The pack goes to your customs broker or trade counsel, who file the response.

How it runs: everything at once

When What happens
Day 1 Kickoff call. We read the notice with you. Due diligence starts. The factory visit is booked.
Within 2 business days We're at the factory (Visit 1). We sit down with the people, and collect and review the originals.
About 72 hours later The evidence pack is in your hands, and in your broker's or counsel's.
Within 5 to 10 more business days The due diligence report is delivered, and the agreement is agreed and signed at Visit 2.

Typical timings, counted from the day you've signed, paid, and sent us the notice and the documents you hold. Court records and the factory's own pace can move the dates.

The price: $4,995, fixed

Bought separately, the parts come to $5,830:

Part Separately
Due Diligence $995
Document Pre-Wire Review $595
Contract Manufacturing Agreement $2,650
Two factory visits ($795 each) $1,590
Total $5,830

You pay $4,995. What you're really buying is speed: one team, one owner, everything started on day one.

Payment: one payment of $4,995, paid when you sign the engagement. No deposits, no second invoice.

Scope: one factory and one product line. More factories or products are quoted in writing before you pay. We have offices in every key hub, so the visits cost the same wherever your factory is. If a factory is far from one of our offices, we add transport, about $50 to $100, and tell you before you pay. It's rare.

What's not included

  • Legal representation before CBP or any agency, and any legal advice
  • Drafting or filing the response to CBP. Your customs broker or trade counsel files that.
  • Lab tests, certification fees and certified translations
  • Customs broker, bond, storage and demurrage costs
  • Transport to a factory far from our offices (about $50 to $100, quoted before you pay)
  • Any promise that goods will be released

If the factory won't cooperate

After the first visit, we tell you in writing what we found and whether the factory is cooperating.

If the factory can't or won't help, the case can move to our Fixer service, scoped separately.

Questions

Do you file the response with CBP?

No. Your customs broker or trade counsel files. We collect, review and organize the factory-side evidence so they can.

Can you guarantee the goods will be released?

No one can promise an outcome. We can make sure the factory's records are complete, consistent and in your hands, and we'll tell you honestly what is strong and what is missing.

How fast can you start?

As soon as we've spoken and you've signed and paid. The call can be today.

What if I have more than one factory?

Send us the notice. We'll tell you what we'd do and quote it in writing.

Is travel included?

Yes, wherever we have an office, which covers the key hubs. If your factory is far from one, we add transport, about $50 to $100, and tell you before you pay. It's rare.

What if another agency is holding my goods?

Message us. The factory-side records can be the same, and we'll tell you honestly what we can and can't do.

Why a standing agreement?

So you're ready for the next notice. The factory keeps the records, for years, and shares them when asked.

Do you give legal advice?

No. We build the factory side: the records, files and structure. Your trade counsel advises. Your customs broker files the entry and the response.

Got a notice? Send it to us.

We'll read it with you and tell you what we see.
